Yesterday Senator Katie Muth visited RFD to present Royersford's Fire, EMS, & Police personnel with new life saving equipment. Working in tandem with EMS Chief George Gilliano & Chief of Police Scot Fennelly, Senator Muth's office was instrumental in obtaining grant funding totaling $70K for new cardiac medical equipment.

The acquired funding went directly to purchasing the first LifePak35 Cardiac Monitor in the region for the EMS Division and new AEDs for the Police Department. In addition to the leadership of each agency Royersford Borough Police Officer Robert Souders deserves much of the credit for driving the project which ultimately resulted in the acquisition of the new equipment to be deployed when seconds truly matter.

Senator Muth continues to support the Spring-Ford community's first responders as the police vehicle shown in the photos, upgraded radios, and body cameras were made possible through other funding supported by her office earlier this year.

We cannot express our thanks and gratitude enough for Senator Muth, her staff, and the community who continually support our teams ensuring the Spring-Ford community is prepared to answer the call.
