The last handful of weeks has brought exciting upgrades to the the EMS Division! Late last year Friendship Ambulance was the first EMS agency in the region to secure an order and purchase the latest in cardiac monitoring technology, the LifePak 35. The new cardiac monitors not only bring cutting edge technology, monitoring capabilities, and technology advancements to our patients it also has provider safety and health in mind being lighter, thinner, and more user-intuitive than its predecessor. Our EMS providers have been receiving training and education on the use of the new monitors with all five EMS units being outfitted with this latest technology last week. In total over $300,000 was allocated for the purchase of the LifePak 35 monitors, service plans, and associated accessories for deployment. In addition to the five new cardiac monitors the EMS Division took delivery of another new ambulance this week! This new unit will replace the current 325-2 keeping the fleet at five ambulances. With this new replacement unit being placed in service the oldest ambulance in the Friendship Ambulance fleet will be from April 2023. The latest in cardiac monitoring and replacement of vehicles continues to put Friendship Ambulance and the Royersford Fire Department at the forefront of pre-hospital care in the Spring-Ford Community. |
