Sunday evening RFD was dispatched assisting Phoenixville Fire Department on a residential fire on the northside of Phoenixville Borough. Royersford units were dispatched as a part of the 2nd alarm assignment and the full company was requested when the 3rd alarm was requested. All four Fire Division apparatus (Ladder, Engine, Rescue, & Utility) responded to the scene as crews battled wind driven flames causing damage to three residences. Rescue 98 was utilized onscene as an onsite cascade to refill air cylinders as firefighters exited the structures with the other responding RFD personnel being utilized in various functions on the fireground.
