Shortly before the lunchtime hour RFD along with units from Spring City, Limerick, and Upper Providence were dispatched for a reported apartment building fire on Main Street in the Borough. Royersford Borough Police and first arriving fire units discovered burnt food had created a smoke condition inside the building with no active fire noted. The response was scaled back to units onscene from RFD and Upper Providence Township who assisted with positive pressure ventilation to quickly evacuate the smoke.
